Widgetization: A New Paradigm

Widgets have clearly emerged as a powerful means of “expression” of application interfaces in recent times. They pose some unique challenges in terms of the design and framework choices to make, available platform options and others. This paper enumerates the benefits of widgetization, discusses the challenges, and provides a check-list for their implementation roadmap.
